Bike Tires Direct has the Garmin Forerunner 235 on sale for $250, and the 230 on sale for $200. If you sign up for their e-mail list using your desktop computer from the red banner at the top of their website, you'll get e-mailed a coupon for 10% off your order which includes these watches. Somehow I was e-mailed a coupon for 15% off, so my final price was $212.49 shipped + $21.25 store credit (so a net total of $191) with free 2-day air for the Garmin 235.

In addition to that cheap price, you'll also receive 10% credit of your final price for a future purchase at Bike Tires Direct.

Garmin Forerunner 235 [biketiresdirect.com]: $250 + 10% off coupon = $225 (+ $22.50 in future purchases credit)
Garmin Forerunner 230 [biketiresdirect.com]: $200 + 10% off coupon = $180 (+ $18.00 in future purchases credit)

edit: Looks like enough people are receiving a 15% off coupon that I'm updating my post with that information. Even though their website says it will be a 10% code, we're getting 15% off. Pretty cool!! Here's the updated info:

Garmin Forerunner 235 [biketiresdirect.com]: $249.99 + 15% off coupon = $212.49 (+ $21.25 in future purchases credit)
Garmin Forerunner 230 [biketiresdirect.com]: $199.99 + 15% off coupon = $169.99 (+ $17.00 in future purchases credit)

Please PM if you have extra 15% coupon(willing to trade). I just signed up for their e-mail list, not sure when I will get the coupon. I'm looking for a good price Garmin 235 these days.

Be sure to sign up for their e-mail list on your desktop computer, not mobile. For some reason the mobile signup doesn't include the coupon code. You should get the coupon immediately though after entering your e-mail address on their website.

Once you get it, just add the 235 into your cart and try adding the coupon to see if it's really 10% or 15% off.

Thanks. I did sign up by using my laptop computer(signed up by clicking the top banner). Have not gotten coupon yet, only received a welcome email for joining their "Email Newsletter list and FREE VIP Buyers Club".

I added the watch to cart first, then on next page below the box for the discount code was the following message: 'Need a Discount Code? Click Here to Have One Emailed to You Instantly!' With the hyperlink on 'Click Here' taking me to the email list sign up.

Strange. Tried it, but did not see the 'Need a Discount code?' message below the discount code input box. Frown. And the black one is sold out.

If I click through your link in the first post, I could still add the black one into the cart. But it shows out of stock if I try to search Garmin 235 and navigate to the product page. So weird. I need a coupon code. Confused

I had just ordered through Amazon and then saw this so I cancelled my order. I received the 15% off coupon and they have no sales tax in California. Great deal, thanks op!

Looks like the 235 is out of stock. They'll probably get new stock before the sale ends, which is most likely the 30th. You can always get the Garmin 230 if you already have an ant+ chest-strap, or you can get the Scosche Rhythm+ for $56 for HR functionality.

Wow, great deal! I just bought the Forerunner 230 from Amazon a little over 2 weeks ago. They've now lowered the price to $199.99 as well but wouldn't let me get a credit and told me I had to do a return and reorder so it looks like I'm sending that one back. Placed an order with BikeTiresDirect.com instead and it's going to save me $80 (plus future credit with store points). Thanks OP, repped!

For those considering the 235, honestly I haven't heard nearly as many good things about it as the 230. Sure it has built-in HR but I've also heard the HR not very accurate, a battery drainer, and for some has given them skin rashes where the optical sensor is. I was torn between the two when I bought my 230 but honestly I'm glad I went with it instead. The 230 lasts me over a week on a battery charge. I doubt the 235 can do anywhere near that. Just my two cents though.
