YMMV: Since these are clearance items in-store availability varies and may be limited.

These are part of the Buy One, Get One 50% Kitchen Utensils promotion. Discount is applied in the cart when 2 items are added. Some price drops on these compared to the previous deal that had the bottle opener for $2.50 and the Mango Splitter for $6

Anyone actually use / own a mango splitter? I'm thinking that there is 0% chance of that thing working, every mango is different, how can that thing effectively work around a pit / core that is never the same size?

My wife loves the mango splitter. She uses it 2-3 times a week. Surprisingly we've yet to run across a mango that didn't fit. Probably one of our favorite OXO products.

I used to have one. loved it. I never had a problem with a pit being too big for it. if a pit was particularly small, there would just be some extra good stuff on the pit itself to cut off.

I ordered two of these and got "Buy one kitchen utensil and get one 50% off". My total was $4.50 + tax for two.

I don't get the mango splitter at all...Two straight cuts with a knife and you're done. Is there something I'm missing?

What? Now that you see a mango splitter on sale you don't feel the need to own two of them? Bad consumer!

if you look closely at it, it looks like the middle piece is able to split/open up for larger seeds.

Yeah, I used to like kitchen gizmos and gadgets as much as anyone. At some point, the clutter of one trick pony tools gets unmanageable. Back to basics for me Smilie

I wasn't sure about the Mango Splitter but after watching some YouTube videos, I ordered 1 since there was only 1 in stock in my city and the rest of the other stores were out of stock.

I normally just use a knife to cut the Mango but this would be interesting to use, $3.27 with tax.
