Not working for me. Gives me the discount until I am ready to pay and then I get this message: The item(s) in your shopping cart does not qualify for the discount with the promo code Emcejhe29 you've entered. Please check again or contact customer service.

The SP550 is a pretty common budget drive. It's not particularly fast, but it's reliable. It's a decent price.

The Seagate 5TB is sold out. I bought one a few weeks ago and love it. Don't forget that people who are happy with a product typically don't leave reviews, while those that aren't, often do. I bet we would be shocked if we knew how many Newegg has sold. It would probably make 67 (Currently) reviews, even if they were all bad, insignificant.

The reason it wasn't working is because it appears to be sold out from Newegg directly.

It is only available from third-party sellers now, which the code won't apply to.

Thank you. Now which one is better? Adata or mushkin? I just need to update an old laptop.

Performance-wise, they're very similar: http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Comp...48vsm82991

Mushkin has had some reliability issues in the past on the ECO2, though the ECO3 is relatively new and uses a different controller. I'd probably pick the ADATA if you care about reliability, since it's been around much longer with good reviews. Other than that, there isn't a particular reason I'd pick one over the other.

Retina or non-Retina?

The non-Retina uses a standard 2.5" form factor drive, like this Mushkin. The Retina uses another. See here: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/s...acbook-pro
