Through my own research and helpful replies in this thread, I've concluded that if you don't add friends or do the tasks to earn extra MB/mo, you only truly get 100MB/mo for free, not 200MB. This is because when you reach within 100MB of your 200MB limit, FreedomPop will do one of two things depending on your auto top off setting:

1) If auto top off is disabled (costs $5 to disable it by the way), they will suspend your data until the next month
2) If auto top off is enable, they will charge you $15 to top off

Furthermore, for case #2, when that $15 expires in 30 days, and you don't reactivate it, they will charge you another $15 to top off next time you reach within 100MB of your limit.

This was sort of mentioned in a previous thread's wiki, but I thought putting the 100MB limit angle on the situation, as well as the expiring credit, were important for people to know. If any of this information is incorrect, please edit accordingly!

got it when it was this price last time. I love how they let you choose a phone number like google voice does. Apparently they both get their numbers from the same place so it makes sense.

(no fee to downgrade)

Lame, the zip, city, and area code did not have any listings. I used a neighboring area code and bingo! Oh well this is a burner number anyways.

Data sim is also available here:
https://www.freedompop.com/offer/mobiledatasim

If you are not interested in voice plans, those sims have better price/gb for the paid plans (something like $13/gb)

Great deal, thanks!

Humorously, one of the add-on offers they tried to sell me after this purchase was the same sim card for $4.99. Smilie
