Who cares what the ink costs? At $20 shipped, just keep buying new printers if a cartridge runs out.
Yep...the ink cartridges is where they get you! The replacement inks cost MORE than the printer itself! That should tell you something.

Great price. Just a warning on these low-price printers:

HP 63 Ink Cartridge, black (F6U62AN)
HP 63 Ink Cartridge, tri-color (F6U61AN)

These are typically expensive. comes only with "starter-capacity" ink.

You don't seem to understand why they include "starter cartridges" in the printer box, and why I mentioned it.

just searched for alt ink on ebay and found the one below. Seems reasonable isn't it? or are other ones that can be found much lower?

I absolutely understand. A full color plus B&W cartridge will run you around $35. Starter cartridges are typically half of a full one. So a half-portion of ink by itself is worth $17.50. For $2.50 more you get all new print heads and everything else.

Are these ink cartridges refillable?

From what I've read starter cartridges typically are the regular size, just contain less ink. If you don't mind a little mess, the most economical way to refill the cartridges is drilling holes and using a syringe. You can get 3-4 refills for around $10 using that method.

Buy ink on ebay for a couple dollars and refill it yourself. Been doing that for years and it works like a charm
