Since it's not the T-Mobile version I would expect Band 12 support to be disabled by T-Mobile when this particular model is activated with a T-Mobile SIM as it's the case with all Band 12 capable devices without VoLTE support (VoLTE being restricted generally to iPhones, Nexus phones, and T-Mobile branded handsets).

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/08/t-...spotlight/

Is there any confirmation that non T-Mobile versions of this handset will negotiate VoLTE and band 12 together just like their T-Mobile branded variant?

Good luck!

Jon

I'm wondering if I could flash the T-Mobile (H811) stock ROM and it would provide the Band 12, VoLTE, and WiFi Calling experience.

Thought it could help anyone interested as it was the lowest I could find available, after researching:Apologies if sharing this was not helpful to the community.

Interesting thought Smilie XDA might have some info perhaps. Would prob have to find out if these are bootloader unlocked and if there's any dev work on it atm.

looks like it would work on both cdma bands for sprint, only one band (25) for lte, leaving you short their speedy band (41)

Even if it could, I wouldn't recommend it. Sprint uses LTE bands 25, 26, and 41. This phone only supports band 25.

Good phone, good price.

IMO, any SDer spending over $199 for an android phone is not a SDer. Anything over $199 is an early adopter premium.

But if your heart content, $250 is the best price of the day Smilie

Folks, this is exactly how you write an OP.

The info is clear & concise, and the heads up on T-Mobile really important.

Band 12 is great, but lack of WiFi calling on Tmobile killed it for me! Excellent heads up!

Really not much different than the G3. I'd look for that at a lower price instead. I recommend the VS985 (Verizon) version which has the best specs among US carriers.
