What is the difference between different models? Absolute, Animal, Fluffy, etc. How does this one stack?

Edit: Looked up on Dyson's site. This is the low-end model. Is this fine for hardwood floors or do I really need the "motorhead"?

Also from the listing: The V6 Cordless does not come with the Soft Roller Cleaner Head, Mini motorized tool, and Mini soft dusting brush. These attachments are found on other models in the V6 series. With the brush off, the V6 Cordless has a run time of 20 minutes or 8 minutes on Max Power Mode. With the brush on, the V6 Cordless runs for 13 minutes or 6 minutes in Max Power Mode.

Would love to hear people's thoughts on this deal. I just need it for hardwood floor cleaning and under dining table on a very flat pile rug.

i got this for like $280 new from bed bath and beyond last year.. tempted to get another because the damn battery runs out pretty fast, but its so so much easier to use than a big dyson. Theres nothing worse than having to use the wand on my dc33 and dragging it around my room. Back hurts like hell afterwards

edit: oh the $ 280 new was for the motorhead purple version, this has no motorhead, still might get it and use this as a $180 battery.

Haha. Looks like a data mining scam.

I bought the V6 Absolute last Black Friday because it has the soft roller head that is good for hardwood floors. We use it all the time.

YES! I bought our V6 last year and it is powerful and very versatile. Much easier to use than our corded DC17. The battery will run out after about 20 minutes of use. I was glad to pick up an additional Powerhead store display for $60 locally.
My original was purchased from ABC vacuum and it appeared to be brand new. We have been very happy with the purchase

My old DC35 uses Li-ion battery. This one comes with Nickel manganese battery, not good.

I've had mine for about 1 year and absolutely love it. It is super-convenient to not have to unwind a big long cord and haul a heavy vacuum cleaner around, if I'm just cleaning a small mess. I use mine daily to clean up the area around my cat's litter box, and use it to vacuum the whole house on weekends. I have a full size vacuum as well, but almost never use it anymore.

I also have a cat. Are you picking up liter on hardwood or carpet? Mine tracks it mostly around her box, but sometimes to the rug in the main room.
