I don't know how good one expects a cheap safe to be, but this one has bad reviews.

Item Weight 13.7 pounds
Product Dimensions 8.2 x 12.2 x 7.8 inches

It's not like this thing will be a deterrent, a thief will just take the whole safe and crack it open on their own time.

Anti-theft safe, as opposed to a pro-theft safe?

Not really, this just puts everything you don't want stolen into one easily removed box that won't stand up to much of an attempt to open it. I think this is worse than just having important stuff in various places around the house. At least you'd make it more work for a thief than pre-packaging it for quick removal.

I would put all not iso mportant stuff in this. So, thief will take this away thinking he got all stuff, while real stuff is safe.Wink

Only if you actually use it. The only thing this safe is good for is for a decoy. Put a few cheap or fake items in it. Put it in a closet. And hope they waste their time looking in it. I wonder if you can get those explosive dye packs to put in one.

I'm wouldn't suggest any safe that is a bolted down. Sure most can be opened with a pry bar but requiring them to do it while in your house will be a deterrent. This just seems a method for thieves to get all the valuables in one grab and then open up at their convenience.
