Valyrian steel, anything else couldn't cut a White Walkers chastity belt...

I bought this knife last summer and it's the best knife I've owned! The blade holds a sharp edge well (better than my $200 Benchmade!) and the cord cutter comes in really handy working in the live production industry. The only downside is the pocket clip caught on a chair arm and broke. However Kershaw promptly sent a replacement to me at no cost. Good CS!

I had the opposite experience with this knife. I used it for an everyday carry at my previous job and it did not age well. The blade is not very high quality and holds up decent. The neat cord cutter/tools was so loose that it became useless. The carabiner clip just flew off and broke into pieces when I was opening it to clip it on my pant. I tried to contact kershaw for a replacement/repair but they never even answered. I figured it wasn't worth the time or effort for such a cheaply made kinfe.

Right.. So let me get this straight.. Your 8Cr13MoV steel knife kept a better edge then; 154cm,D2,S30v m390, cpm20, m4..
And then you woke up.
By the way which Benchmade are you referencing and what steel as I listed them all.. Not one of those will be out performed by 8CR13MoV, not even close.

8Cr13MoV is not bad of steel but does not keep edge for crap.
Do not spill bad info on knives that are much superior then the 20-30 dollar rage 8Cr13MoV..

3" blade in case anyone is wondering. Kind of short for a partially serrated knife. Still a good deal for a name brand partially serrated blade for EDC (everyday carry) usage of you don't already have one

dude there is something wrong with your benchmade if a $14 knife can beat it.

Actually, you didn't:

If you're going to criticize someone for "bad info," be sure you're not doing the same.

Thanks for putting a halt to that blatant misinformation. It is no contest and neither is it a subjective matter.

Check out USPS First Class Parcel prices and get back to us. $5 shipping is fair.

Make no mistake: this is a beater knife. Is it a "bad" knife? No. But the guys that say its Chinese steel can't compare to, for example, Crucible steels, are correct.

Personally, I'm a Kershaw guy, but I'd prefer a US-made Kershaw/ZT, with American S30V or Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel. More money, of course, but also something that you can truly depend on for quite awhile.
