Amazon has Bravely Second: End Layer for $29.99 as of right now.
The price has been dropping $0.10 almost every hour.
I am not sure how long it will bounce back up, but the price is still dropping.

Pretty surprising that this is dropping in price! Is there any reason to think this one won't go out-of-print like the original did? Not sure whether to buy now before it becomes rare and the price starts climbing, or see if it'll go even lower...

Even though I already had the chibi robo amiibo, it was fun to watch it slowly drop from 12.99 down to $4.71 (still with prime shipping) over the course of a month. Once it hit $4.71 it jumped right back to $12.99. My guess is that with it dropping like it is, Bravely Second will probably jump back to $39.99 very soon.

I pulled the trigger yesterday at $31...figured it was ready to jump back up...I was wrong. Bummer.

Not the right forum for this, I'm sure, but is anyone willing to separate with Bravely Defualt for like $10? I've heard great things about the series, but can't justify the steady $20 pricetag for something I'm not sure if I'll dig. PM me, I guess, and also, sorry mods for clouding up the thread.

So for those who don't know what this or the series is, let me give a summary. I pre-ordered it and don't regret it (much, my cheap-sense is annoyed).

* If you like Final Fantasy type games - this game is a spiritual successor of everything up to FF6. It has 4 characters who can rotate jobs. In this game, the jobs range from your typical tank to a pastry chef. No, really.

* If you liked Bravely Default - you've probably bought this already

* If you liked Bravely Default BUT absolutely hated the last few chapters (not spoiling, but if that's a majority opinion) - good news! This game is similar except they appeared to figure out that those last chapters drained a lot of fun. A very similar mechanic happens, however due to game-related reasons, the story actually moves on. It's handled well

This game is an RPG with an assortment (30? Maybe?) "jobs" you can switch at will that allow you to do an assortment of skills. It doesn't take itself very seriously, which is a major draw of the series. There is a demo which is slightly similar to the game. The demo is heavily a "go there, do that" thing, while the game is more open. It does have a linear path you must follow, but you can follow it at your leisure, ala Skyrim.

I would. If you don't like it, you could always sell it on ebay for slightly more than what you paid for it. Or if you're really lazy, you can get $20 store credit at gamestop.

I think you're looking at the Japanese version of the game. The US version sells for about $40 USED on ebay.
