I have had this phone since it came out. It has lasted longer on a charge than EVERY other phone I've used, the fingerprint sensor is a whole helluva lot more convenient, and about the only thing I have to complain about is room for apps on the 16gb main memory is limited and the camera doesn't come up fast enough and I can't seem to keep the HDR setting on all the time.

Otherwise this is a great phone for $200.

Where do you think ALL the other phones are made???? CHINA. So, you just would rather have a brand you can identify with and pay 4 times the price, vs using a phone from the same factories that sounds foreign made? At least they are honest.
It's not about where the phone is made, it's about where it's designed and the software developed. There's many good phones for 200 or 250 that the don't have the problems mentioned.
No kidding. The original OS doesn't perform well, then after flashing CM, features don't work and the persistent random malfunctioning??? If a friend recommended I spend $150 knowing all that is happening, I would quit being friends with them.

although it's a great deal but I'd stay away from this phone.

it works and feels really good for say the first few weeks and then performance crashes to dust!

i had to return mine and i'm sure there are many users who'd agree.

Yep.
This is a budget phone which should of originally retailed at $150 but they wanted to be in the success of the zenfone 2 and launched it a higher price.

This phone works well with Cyanogenmod 13 installed. CM13 does not support the fingerprint sensor, but it runs smoothly. I got this when it first came out. The installed EMUI OS slowed down so much after two months that it was almost unusable. I've had random restarts since installing CM13, but otherwise I've been happy with it. The battery lasts a whole day, and the camera takes decent photos. Videos run smoothly. MicroSD expansion helps.

I will never understand why you guys insist on using budget Chinese junk when other phones are not much more money. I think some people seek out punishment.

I use the phone for a few months now . I am quiet happy with it. just restart when it lags, I don't do this often. but it does perform well . I need the dual sim for work and personal.
