Normally all Asus Laptops come with international warranty. This model belongs to X556UA series and I checked it in Asus Website.

Not in Video, check the specification, warranty information is at the bottom of the specification. Now the Acer one is better configure wise because it has dedicated GTX 940MX 2GB GDDR5 Graphics card which enables it to play almost all the modern titles in low to medium settings.
Build quality wise, I cannot really comment as the Acer model is very new and not rally having any review at this moment.

By looking at the images, looks like Asus one has better build quality with some aluminium body whereas the Acer one is more or less plastic/poly carbonate built. Performance wise, definitely Acer one will win but probably the Asus one has better build quality and battery life due to having integrated GPU.
For good value for money, my choice would be the Acer one as dedicated GPU always comes handy. Now a days lots of applications, specially image processing, Video editing and encoding, can take advantage of GPU's computing power. So having a dedicated Graphics card is more future proof in my opinion.

how does it compare to the Asus at Newegg for similar price?

In Graphics front, the newegg one is more powerful but it does not come with SSD. So if you are looking for a Laptop with Graphics horsepower and are okay to open it and replace the HDD with SSD, then go for it.
But in that case, I would go with the Acer one mentioned here as it has 256GB SSD, GT 940MX GDDR5 card which is more than 15% powerful than standard GT 940 with DDR3 memory.
