Tmobile iphone 6 plus unlocking?

umaga 41 10 May 29, 2016 at 12:39 PM
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good iphone unlocking service. I just bought a supposedly unlocked Iphone 6 plus from a guy on craiglist. I wanted to switch to Cricket and just discovered that the phone has always been locked to Tmobile. So I guess I got stuck for being dumb. I know some people successfully got their phone unlocked from ebay or some other internet service and so I just wanted to know if someone can recommend me a reputable service. Many thanks!

I have had positive experience getting phones unlocked from sellers on eBay. Plus they seem to be cheaper than other websites (much cheaper in my past experiences). Just look for a seller who has a lot of good feedback unlocking phones. I did a quick search on eBay and found one for $3.97 to unlock it for iPhone 6 Plus.

T-Mobile phones aren't carrier locked. Most likely the guy sold you a phone that's on a payment plan. I'm pretty sure there's no unlocking that until you pay off the balance on the phone.

Could be stolen too.

In the future buying used phones from swappa is a safer bet.

Pretty sure t-mobile phones bought from t-mobile are carrier locked. They will unlock it for you after you pay off a certain amount though. You can get an unlocked iphone from the apple store to use on t-mobile though.

What you need is the TMobile premium unlock. They can do it even if it's on contract or blacklisted
