Whats the best method, app, web service etc to track the warranty and receipts of purchases? Preferably one where we can print the receipt out again....some products now give you a longer warranty if you register with them...I need to start tracking this before I need it.

Google "Warranty Tracker". Several of the first results are Android and iOS apps.

Or you could just add the date to a Google Calendar and use Google Drive storage for your receipts/documents.

Yeah I did...and I tried a few..wasn't to impressed...since my credit cards add up to an additional year I'm not so much worried about time as being able to get my hands on a usable receipt and a printout of the warranty should the item fail. Will look further. Thanks.

I just toss the date on my Google Calendar. I always have the word "Warranty" in the title and is easily searchable to see where I'm at on all my warranties...

Seems needlessly complex to use a service at all imho. I store all of my receipts in PDF files in a folder on my HDD. Each PDF is named in accordance with the merchant/product(s) purchased and the month/year of purchase so I can find them easily if need be (via Windows search). I do the same with MIRs. If I need to make any additional notes (re CC extended warranty, etc) I do so with a note added with my PDF viewer.

I like this for a digital version or even a paper file that you put receipts in. How many claims is the OP making? I am assuming its a minority of purchases?

Yeah..not making alot of claims...just attempting to make sure the information is available....recently had a computer chair mat fail with a lifetime warranty and due to misplaced paperwork was basically SOL. Trying to eliminate that in future. Appreciate all the responses.

I thought a warranty app would be easier to keep track but in the end I suppose my pdf scanner app can do the duty and I'll have it sync the folder to a cloud service.
