Lowes has the John Deere D140 for $1999. Home Depot has it for $1949. Lowes will PM HD plus 10% off, which brings the price down to $1745.10. Lowes is also offering a $250 mail in rebate for a Lowes gift card on some of their John Deere tractors including this one, bringing it down to $1495.10 assuming you can find $250 worth of stuff to buy at Lowes, which is never a problem for me.

I tried calling and getting an online PM, but they claimed it was special order in stores, but I was pretty sure that wasn't true so I went to the store and they had one in stock, so I had them price match in store. It wasn't much of a hassle, and I think this is a great deal for a green lawnmower. laugh out loud

Op might be good to clarify that the rebate is in the form of a lowes gc not a visa prepaid so essentially mower + 250 lowes gc = $1745 after PM

you should also be able to use a 10 percent off coupon. best way to do this is to get them to add you to their computer and tell them you want to pay for more stuff after you shop. they input the price minus 10 percent then go to cashier up front and give them coupon for 10 percent more. I've done this multiple times with appliances.

I'm still sitting on over $1600 Lowes discounted giftcards from a big craft store chain (??) Sale. A Family member peed me off and I decided that they could buy their own mower but I would still help w cutting her grass. I'm so tempted to this...I love a rebate in addition to, a % off

It is not clear to me what you are saying here. Could you be more explicit?

Sorry on mobile. Go to lawn and garden and pick mower. Have sales person enter your info in their computer. Have them price it with the 10 percent off after pm. Tell them you want to shop around for more things. At register give them the order info and they will pull it up. Hand cashier coupon and it'll take another 10 percent off.

Enter what info? So I just walk up to some cashier at lawn and garden say "hey, enter my info into your system." They'll look at me like I'm some weirdo.

Can you not read? sales guy will enter your info in computer meaning your name address and phone number. Make sure you have them total it out with your pm discount. Then give cashier your number and she can pull it up. This isn't rocket science.

Hes essentially telling you to commit fraud. both coupons and 10% off price match policy explicitly state that they cannot be used together. by lying about your intentions and using two different employees, this person has found a social engineering strategy to commit fraud. any employee with half a brain would see a red flag, and the consequences are unpredictable, particularly if you do this multiple times. i worked briefly for home depot after graduating, and this type of fraud was highlighted during training, is tracked using computer algorithms, and is prosecuted.

Edited. I honestly didn't realize that was the case, but it doesn't change the slickness of the deal for me. I'm always buying lumber or something there.
