1) You cannot unlock this easily and use with other carriers or internationally.
2) The model number GPAPI5SC16GYPWP, this is AT&T device under StraightTalk , according to source "The NET10 and Straight Talk iPhone 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus use the AT&T network."

Anyone know if these can be unlocked and then used on Ringplus? I got in on the Virgin Mobile deal for these at this same price and paid an eBay seller to unlock it so I could use it in the future on whatever service I wanted, including R+. Is that still a viable option? Or have the recent changes made by VM and their virtual carriers made that impossible now?

If anything it could possibly run on T-Mobile. The Cricket iphone was able to be run on an AT&T sim locked but not T-mobile. So I think it can only run on the parent network or the one you bought it for.

straight talk phones are locked pretty tight I would not even bother trying to unlock it as the cost of unlocking for sure won't make this any deal at all.
