I learned a long time ago to buy cheap when it comes to Hp. Spent over 1k and after the one year warranty is up the motherboard takes a shit
Can you make a 1366x768 screen? LMAO

* I bet you're the same guy 10 years ago saying..."Amazing how they even make CRT monitors".

Get outta here, it's a $200 laptop with a perfectly acceptable display for it's purpose. A utilitarian device for utilitarians.

* That said, for anyone willing to spend $30-$50 more, I'd hold out for an i3 based machine, as you'll get better battery life, it will run cooler and sit cooler in the lap (and likely have fewer if any thermal throttling issues), and meaningfully better performance all around...well worth the marginal cost increase in my opinion.
Thank you .. Been looking for a budget laptop for my dad... The processor is comparable to ULV i3's from a few gens back... Seems like a solid purchase.. Idk why 1080p and touchscreen is such a necessity.. Seems like an opinion based on popular demand rather than personal preference..

Not a bad budget laptop if you really need one right now. As an alternative to a Chromebook, this is killer. I'd prefer a touchscreen which should be standard on Win10 now.

I agree that touchscreen is not necessary, and I know that many who have them don't use it. But by now they should all have higher resolution.

I think so. I just finished 3 years of grad school with a similar hp.

Can't find bluetooth listed in the specs, any chance this has it and it's unlisted?
