$50 discount on this 2-tool drill/driver set. Pretty good pickup. I didn't see this deal posted yet.

Old models, old batteries, old charger... Does it worth it?

Great starter kit for anyone who doesn't have any Ryobi 18v tools, but if you're already invested in the One+ system, the charger is the most valuable part of this set.

I was able to get 6 tool AND nailer for $269 - $199 was a promo deal for 6 tool set and Ryobi was running "buy set - get 50% off tool deal" so I'd grabbed nailer Cool
My advise - wait for a bit. Register on Ryobi Nation and look for all promos, they may run same deal again on FD or J4.

Absolutely not, this is the worst "deal" I've seen on Ryobi

I picked up the 6 piece with Brad nailer. The Brad nailer kits have been out of stock for a month. The Brad nailer sells refurbished for $80 refurbished without a battery.

The important thing about ryobi one is looking at lithium vs lithium+ batteries. The lithium batteries are less efficient, don't have the indicator, and have had some reliability issues reported.
The lithium plus batteries are much more expensive to buy individually.

OPs kit is the older battery. For $200 you can pick up a Brad nailer kit with a circular saw, Sawzall, and drill. These tools are not quite as good as the $260 kit, and do not include an impact driver. That being said, the $200 kit is a great deal if you aren't worried about battery life, the electric stop on the circular saw, the compact form of the new drill and can just use the drill/driver to drive. Impact drivers are kind of a fad really. Most homeowners don't need both for basic diy unless they are doing a big project.

At $99 I'd seriously consider paying a bit more (up to $150) and step up to a better brand that are lighter and more powerful. I've seen Porter Cable drill/impact kits near $100. Or as others said, wait for the P884 6-tool kit (with JobPlus oscillating multi-tool) for $199 or get the P1885 6-tool kit (with brad nailer) for $259. I suspect more people will find the multi-tool more useful even though the brad nailer is worth more.

Of course, there are advantages to Ryobi: lots of cheap power/outdoor tools and kit available for those looking to expand, cheap 4Ah batteries, some unique tools for DIY and homeowners (misting fan, drain auger, etc).

Anybody have any advance notice on Father's Day Deals for Ryobi 18v? My old blue impact driver just stopped driving. I have my sights on the new P237 with three speeds.

FYI, as mentioned above, I have had a couple of the compact Lithium, not +, die on me without a lot of use. I exchanged one to Home Depot, and recycled the other. The Lithium+ 4Ah are the best, and a good deal at $99 for two.
