Y'all know these books are free - they're all in the Public Domain. They are all listed separately on Amazon as free books. And you can find the Audio Books via searches. They really aren't Audible Books - they're public domain audio books, that's all - nothing more.

What someone did was group all of the public domain books together, slapped on a Title page, and promoted the compilation as a "Book" for $1.99. There are oodles of these for well known authors who's novels are now in the public domain.

As for the person who wrote that they didn't know the author - HP Lovecraft was a master of horror and the occult. He created the Cthulhu Gods - the Elder Gods, a group of Gods that inhabited our universe. There have only been a few movies that have been created from his books - The best was called "The Dunwich Horror" - this involved an old New England Family and their entanglement with the Elder Gods. Not as good as his novels, but okay. Another one was a made for TV movie called Dagon. It was about a Greek Island where the people are a bit, well twisted. You see Dagon likes to impregnate the women with it seed. This results in unimaginable horrors. Definitely an island you want to pass.

I suggest reading his books alone in a quiet darkened room. One in which you can hear the silent noises your home makes. Perhaps as you read, you'll hear slight scratches in the walls, perhaps rodents making their way through pathways on their clawed feet. You might hear water dripping from somewhere, maybe in the basement, silently filling your sump pump as it tries to clear the extra water from its hole. But from far below Dagon is watching, it knows you're reading about it, and when it sees a puny human reading its name, saying it aloud inside their mind, it sees an opening to our world. It quickly follows subterranean waterways to your basement, to your sump pump hole. Water flows upwards, slowly at first, then it suddenly bursts explosively in the air, scattering millions of atomized droplets. Dagon is FREE, is free to pursue the mind of the person whom called it. It seeks, it finds, and it flows through the air from water molecule to water molecule, rushing up from the dark, rushing up to the human that called it by name. Yes, Dagon has been released, released from its watery prison, ready to seep back into the minds and dreams of its human hosts, ready to drive them insane, again. EEK!

Lovecraft's writings are great, but alas I am too old to read them now. My mind's defenses are not as strong as when I was younger. Enjoy them now, but to read them in your sixties, or later, might mean a visit from one of the Elder Gods, and I for one don't want to see one just yet.

That's what you typically see when you've used amazon digital credits, the kind you earn for extra slow shipping, and / or amazon coins. I believe you'll see the same if your credit card reward points were used too.

Idk, but for $0.99 and good ratings, I will get it. Don't understand though why only 213 reviews in a period of 3 years....shouldn't there be many more reviews by now?? look around

Thx and TU OP!
