Not bad for Sprint Prepaid customers Smilie

Is it a GSM phone with SIM?

That note is BS. Just get the Sprint Iphone 5s unlock service for around $20 bucks on Ebay and it will be ready for any carrier around the world.

Yes, I'm sure. People are prevented to use locked Sprint phones on its MVNO's services. Whenever the phone is unlocked, nothing can stop you activate service with other carriers.

on other (GSM) carriers once unlocked, definitely yes

can you confirm the point about ringplus though?

typically these unlock services only change some stuff on apple's end to allow unlock thru iTunes, but sprint might still have it blacklisted for ringplus on their end

also, sprint iPhone unlock services were not working good earlier this year

I thought Sprint only used CDMA phones like Verizon.

The 5S isn't tri-band even if you wanted to use it on Sprint. Definitely not a good buy.

I think that FED rule only works on sprint mvno, not GSM.
eBay unlock code should work on iphones

This is pre-owned so perhaps it doesn't have to be activated for another 12 months prior to Ringplus service.

Why not?

Because under Sprint's unique database - the IMEID # will show up as prepaid.
