Not bad but I really don't like the idea of a monthly fee. Samsung has their smartcam HD plus that is similarly sized and you can record on a microsd card, your phone, or setup a computer to record using something like blue iris. I saw them for sale at sams club for $99

I didn't know this require monthly fees. No go for me, I would prefer dlink and samsung over this then.
Granted it rarely goes on sale and pricier, but after months of research via you tube vids, online reviews, as well as some actual customers, I got the Piper NV and be done with it.

I truly despise the subscription bull sh-t, reminds me of the ingenious scam that corporate bitches have been pulling for years with toner cartridges and dirt cheap printers.

Can anyone comment on whether this is a good deal? I haven't followed prices on this item but would love it since I have a Nest thermostat

Can you recommend one under $100 with easy set up? Pass on Foscam, setup sucks and no more free tech support

Many better and cheaper alternatives, do your research. These Nest products have the Apple markup for old technology.
