Also need two. I have two antiquated 24s that need updating and one 28 with WQHD.
I may have been spoiled with the WQHD.

I purchased the 23'' LG a few weeks ago at the same price. I think it's a great deal at this price. IPS with 5ms response time, VESA mounting holes, and an audio input jack (but no speakers). It's my first IPS so can't compare it with others, but I think the picture quality is very good after calibration. The only real negative for me was the short 1 year warranty. Some people might be turned off by the fact that it uses an external power brick, instead of having the power supply built into the monitor itself.

Tempted by the 27" ASUS. Anyone have experience with it or know of a better & cheaper 25"-27"?

I have a Korean WQHD 27 inch and its leaps and bounds better than anything I have ever used. I have two 24 AOCs from a few years ago, and it is literally night and day.
I bought my Korean monitor for 260 (perfect pixel) after eBay cashback so I think 299 is a solid price.

The Acer K272HULbmiidp with a IPS type panel was on sale last week for $250. It's on sale frequently. The PB278Q is probably a better buy if you need now for a little more in my opinion.

I was debating to get a 1080p 144Hz to see how it looks, as I've never done 144Hz before.
But now I feel bad getting a new pricey monitor for just fps. Im not even playing that competitively.
Im now thinking of going 2560x1440p and 27". Currently on an amd 380 but was planning to go gtx 1070 when they come out. Any suggestions?

I ordered two of the LG 23MP57HQ monitors Tuesday via ShopRunner and they'll be in tomorrow. I'll post a review if anyone requests. :-)
