You didn't have to port into/out of FI. You could just sign up for new service, activate, throw away sim, insert your sim, cancel.

This is a pretty good deal. I like my 5x.
I bought from yapper on the 2nd of this month when it was $330. Shipping label has been printed, but it still hasn't shipped.

There is another slickdeal for it on newegg for $300 with a $30 newegg giftcard. That newegg seller reviews are similar to my "waiting on product, shipping label printed" with ebay.

Just want my new phone...

Looks like a good deal. Net price about $266 after eBay bucks and CB and no need to port-in / port-out of Fi. The 5x direct from Google is $250 + tax so for many this will be about the same price and without the port hassles for those who don't want to switch providers.

Anyone know why the ICE color is sold out everywhere? Any time there's a good deal posted on the 5x the only color options are Black and White? 😤

I placed an order yesterday morning for the Newegg deal and I already received a tracking number. I decided to go with Newegg because I had $400 in Newegg gift cards I obtained for $200 through this deal and this deal. The Groupon voucher is expiring today, so this worked out to be an excellent birthday present for a friend.

Though if you use a Sprint MVNO you may need to factory reset the phone first. I had to do that in order to get my LTE data working on Ringplus. It would only use 3G because of something Google had installed to get it to work with Project Fi. I had another Nexus 5X bought from B&H before the Project Fi deal that worked without any issues or need to reset.

I'm not sure if GSM carriers have the same issues.

Would much rather have warranty/support from Google (when buying through Fi) so I don't have to send my phone to LG, assuming the warranty from this deal is even legit.
