I just suck at Bloodborne. I DIE so frequently. Can't get past the initial stage. Frown I gave up and play Rocketleague nonstop.

Great game. Amazing gameplay. Much better than dark souls in my opinion. Anyone can pick this game up and be good. Just takes a little time to get used to.

Bloodborne was the first Souls type game I played. I bought it at launch and couldn't get pass the first part just like you. Just so you know, I play Ninja Gaiden games on Master Ninja mode as my standard difficulty so I'm not new to hard action games. However, I could already see a great game just based on the first part that I couldn't pass so I kept trying for couple days and learning the combat. I was finally able to get pass the first boss. From there on, the rest of the game was much easier after the initial steep learning curve, except for some chalice bosses where the difficulty ramp up quite a bit. However, they did not stop me from getting the platinum trophy for this game. I liked this combat system enough that I went back and played all the previous Souls games that I never played and the new DS3. Didn't have much issue with any of them after beating Bloodborne. So yea, you have to have patience to enjoy these types of games. Otherwise, they do turn people off quite easily.

Of course, your save file doesn't know if you're using the disc or digital (it's not a CD, PS4 uses Blu-ray discs). Your save file should be backed up to the system and if you have PS+ you can upload it to cloud storage.

Bought this game a month ago when it was $16 with GCU. Clocked about 60 hours on it so far, and bought the DLC as well. Very fun and yet very infuriating game. Like others have said, the intro is the hardest part because you can't level up until you get past the first 30 minutes or so, and if you don't make it out of the intro, you're basically starting from scratch each time.

First souls type game, and already looking forward to playing DS2 and 3.

One of the best games that I've ever played, about to beat the NG+ and conquer all the Chalice dungeons to get the Platinum trophy before getting the DLC. The combat system is very satisfying though the camera might get you frustrated at some points.
Also looking forward to play the Soul games as I'm officially a fan of FromSoftware now Smilie
