I've been looking for one of these DeWalt table saws, and maybe a miter too.. It's just, I swore off Rakuten after they ripped me off $15 on my first purchase with them. Page said $35, total said $35, email receipt said $50. They were, of course, 0 help whatsoever.

I think I'll hold out till fathers day to see if somewhere else has a similar sale on these saws.
No thumbs down for this, just a word of caution.

Even tho product overview is for Dewalt compressor - hello, Rakuten! - if you get lucky and receive compact table saw it will be DW745. At least that's what pictured...
Great model, will buy it one day.

I don't think you'll get DW745 cheaper than $230-250 any time soon.
Even it's an old model but still a very good one. If you'll find one cheaper than this - let me know woot

Single bevel vs Compound miter.
They are both single bevel compound miter saws.

Single bevel vs Compound miter.
Actually they are both single bevel, compound saws. Compound refers to having both the bevel (blade and head tilt left to right) and the miter angle (rotation about the base) adjustable.

HOWEVER, this is a better saw than the 715. For one, bigger blades means more deflecton and less accuracy. Also 10" blades are much cheaper (and if you have a table saw, odds are you can share blades between them). But thats just comparing 10" to 12" saws. This saw in particular is excellent, and though it is a 10" and the dw715 is a 12", this saw costs about $20 more at regular prices. So this is a savings of about $45, plus no tax vs buying from Lowe's.

The Rakuten deal is a compound miter, the Lowes deal is not and will not bevel (at least not that I can see).

Lol @ the notion that 1" in saw blade radius has a negligible affect on blade deflection while cutting. Deflection should not occur at high speeds while making a proper cut on a miter saw. On the contrary, a 12" saw can make a noticeable difference in cutting capacity (length, height, and width of material that you can cut).

Also, if you're using proper blades for your cuts, you'll have different styles of blades for your table saw (rip cut tooth blade) than you will for your miter saw (cross cut tooth).

Just $.02 from a trim carpenter so people don't get misinformed. Seems to be good deals on two good saws.

Well I submitted the table saw price to Amazon though I doubt they'll actually match it. Would be a lot nicer than ordering through Rakuten.

....

Lowes:
DEWALT 12-in 15-Amp Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw
0-50? left and right miters provide versatility while 0-48? left and 0-3? right bevels increase cutting capacity

Rakuten:
The DeWalt 10 (254m) single bevel miter saw
0-50 left and right miter capacity for greater versatility Bevels 3-48 for increased cut capacity

Of course it has greater capacity (though while width and height sure, I don't see how a 12" vs a 10" allows greater length material to be cut) ... I mentioned the issue of deflection and therefore accuracy, nothing contrary to the fact that 12" saws have greater cut capacity. I don't think I've misinformed anyone. Coming from someone who has owned a DWS780, dw716, and some older makitas, all 12" miter saws, there is definitely deflection, especially if using thin kerf blades. Edit to add: and I will be selling my 12" DW716 to be replaced by this 10"er.
