Anyone have experience with this retailer? They seem to have an OK rating (7.7 on ResellerRatings), but mixed reviews and warnings on a lot of sites.

I have the same concerns. Plus, is the phone brand new? I know it says its new but is it used new?
Do they charge tax?
How much is shipping?

kind of a dumb questions but I would like to know beforehand.
Thank you.

Free standard shipping, no tax in NJ at least.

Tempting, but there will probably be similar deals soon the might be from better retailers.

Been watching for deals on this phone for awhile. What scares me are all the people I see commenting that the N5X gets laggy & bogged down easily. That and with the new Nexus announcements likely coming soon, last year's devices should continue to drop in price over the next few months.

Have people been making similar comments on performance since the update in April? As an NX5 owner, I have not experienced these issues. But then again, I am not using it for anything crazy.

i had this phone and after the fixes released in march there is no lag. only issue is the pathetic speaker. i cant hear the google maps promts while driving, yes its that bad. battery life is pretty dissapointed too and the phone feels very cheap.

Yeah, YMMV. I have had this phone for 3 weeks, I guess, with the latest update. After using it for about a week with all the apps I used on my iPhone 6, it lags like crazy, especially when I used Tomtom and iHeart radio at the same time. I have to reset it 3 times with just the stock apps and installed the Tomtom and the iHeart Radio apps and still doing the same. I drive 3 hours per day to and from work. It was not acceptable. I returned it to Google and got the Nexus 6p instead. ?

When is the new nexus announcement? I really hope these drop to sub $200 by late August/ early September. From (most) feedback, it looks like they've fixed the majority of lag issues. I really want to pick up a 5x for the quality of camera.

I like the phone, but I never use the speaker Then again, I never use the speaker on any phone.

I just returned this phone (different retailer). I did not experience the lag issues commonly cited, however, issues with the fingerprint sensor not working when plugged in, video being transferred upside down, and the speaker being terrible. This was the first phone I had that did not have a microSD slot...I thought it wouldn't be an issue but it quickly became one, never again. It appears that the 5x and Huawei 6p are both trending down and being dumped by retailers, likely in anticipation of new releases.

Yeah, the camera is really nice. If you get one, make sure it's the 32gb version. 16gb just isn't enough space.

The Nexus 6 was announced in October 2014 and the 5X and 6P were announced in September 2015, So if they're doing a yearly update on both I'd expect something similar. Though there was a 2 year gap between the 5 (November 2013) and the 5X.

Personally I hope that Google does decide to keep 2 models of the Nexus, I prefer a mid-range device with a screen closer to 5" than 5.5". The 6P is just too big and expensive.

i don't use the speaker except when i am driving. the only app that i cant live with is google maps. so speaker is important. battery life is pretty bad too. also the phone looks and feels exactly as the $30 lumia 640, its so light that it feels cheap. fingerprint scanner is very good and helps that it is in the back.
