Yea its a decent deal at that price. I wouldnt call it slick from all the research I have done the past few days.

The #1 Receiver of 2015 is only $40 more on Amazon.

I bought a factory refurbished one of these today for $250

dts x is not all that trust me. this receiver only supports 5.2.2 which is not all that great for atmos or dts x.

Vsx1130 is a much better sounding receiver than s710. 1130 has a dual band wifi, much bigger power supply, mcacc pro. 1130 is better in every aspect except the warranty.

I have an older VSX-1121-k and the feature I use the most is the vTuner internet radio. Was about the same at $300 when the new models come out. At least now, wifi is built-in, although it should be ac, it doesn't need to be. b/g/n is good enough. The remote still sucks a bit, but that's ok as most of the time it is the other devices you're controlling.

The next jump in receiver quality for Pioneer is the elite line.

That Denon has the lowest power output I've seen on a multi channel AVR at 80w x 2. It really doesn't get more entry level than that as far as power goes.

80 watts per channel, 8 ohms, 20-20,000Hz, at .08% THD.

$250 seams reasonable. But at almost $400 - no thanks. Don't try pushing lower impedance speakers with this.
