I agree. Can't turn back time unless you're superman. I got a used copy for $17 after tax with pro membership. Pretty solid deal. Building a time machine probably costs more than $2 laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

That was used, this is new. I think it's a good deal considering now Gamefly has used for $24.99.

Lowest for new has been 23.99 after GCU from BestBuy.

I'm waiting on another deal to leave the Day One Edition sealed; Kojima's last game and all.

The PS3 version has been as low as $7.99 after GCU from BestBuy.

I don't think BestBuy's prices have been beat until now for "new" copies of the game.

Personally, I found I prefer used copy in Gamestop if price is lower and disc is in good shape with original case. You can return used copy there if you don't like the game. Although receipt says 7-day return, Gamestop stores in my town allow 30-day return or exchange for another game.

Is the Day One Edition have a good resale value? I still have mine sealed just never got to playing the game.

Play it. Awesome game, smooth graphics, fast loading times. But majorly it's the graphics that blew me over.

I'm just aware it's his last game under Konami. I'd think down the road, that will mean something. (Look at what PS4s with his P.T. Demo are sold for Smilie)

The collector's editions are also dropping in value and are currently undervalued in my opinion. The only thing is that these don't have copies of the Day One edition inside (the only way to currently get a special cardboard box to use in game, but I do believe a separate DLC for this edition included it).

I'd buy every sealed day one edition I could find.

The only dick move was Konami removing "A Hideo Kojima Production" from the case art; it devalues his last game somewhat, again, in my opinion.

EDIT - I have two PS3 Day One and one PS4 Day One. I can wait to play a used copy on the PS4, the whole backlog and all. Besides Uncharted 4 moved to the front of the line.

EDIT 2 - I'd also argue that the remastered collections on the PS3, first print and re-release, will creep higher as it sinks in that Konami will likely be limited in re-releasing any other of his titles without some sort of amicable agreement. Highly unlikely! I'd say the sealed first print metal gear collection will be the most valued game on PS3, followed by a sealed copy of the first print MGS4, followed by the Day One edition of MGSV on the PS3/PS4...all in consideration of the legacy titles on the NES/MSX aside.

Kojima is gone, ain't gonna happen.
It was his engine (Fox) that the game was built upon.

I don't think that when he left that he gave his graces for Konami to program using his engine; he and his company owns it.
