Dual band wireless (option to use 5ghz band in addition to the 2.4). Otherwise, not much, but good if you live in an apartment complex or condo where the 2.4ghz band is saturated it's useful.

I don't understand the concept of chromcast, I guess it's suppose to be for old devices. Tv that was made in last 6yrs have build in netflix/apps, every blu ray/dvd player now have apps, ur xbox/ps4 have apps, my freaking DVR has app.

I don't use any of the above bc I hooked up my tv to my Home theater computer.

well most of the built in shit is horrible except for the game consoles which not everyone wants. I'm a gamer and have that stuff but I still use my chromecast on a daily basis. I have a PC running 24/7 with media on it and just use videostream for chromecast to cast it to my tv.

yes , its great!! I have 4 of these in different rooms and during parties and such I can play the same music all over the house wherever these are connected, from my phone. it also supports flac, and the qualities fantastic! if you dont want to purchase one of these, you can buy a bluetooth reciever and play off your phone to that. The only downfall of the bluetooth reciever is that it compresses audio. most people cant hear it but if you can, it's quite irritating. I'd recommend the chromecast audio.

sorry about the typing, typing on the phone wearing gloves!
