I think I'd rather wait the extra 1-2 days for Amazon than wait in line at Walmart pickup.

Nice!

However my wife hates cleaning cast iron, and purposely screws them up, so no cast iron for me. Frown

Why do men passively complain about their gf/wives here? I haven't seen a wife complain about their husband yet, but surprise me.

My husband eats dinner that I cook for him and doesn't want to take a couple minutes afterward and wipe down the cast iron pans and slap some oil on them.

Cast iron is very easy to clean. A little soap and water, Light scrub, dry immediately! Contrary to popular belief, you can use soap!

You only need to use soap because you already screwed up the cast iron. With proper seasoning damn near anything will come off it with some elbow grease and warm water.

Actually the proper was is to scrub with salt and oil and then simply rinse.

I stopped using canola oil on my cast iron because it was leaving a sticky residue. Now I can wipe it clean with a paper towel.
