You pay nothing for repair. Their repair company Asurion will ship you out a box with packing materials and a shipping label once you open your claim. You call up the support number and then they'll ask you to unplug your set, turn it back on, text them some pics of the screen and then you're done. Everything is on them. You just have to pack it and drop it off at a UPS location.

Got mine last year for the same price, almost been 1 year and it's still going strong...got no complaints about it. But I really, really recommend getting the extended warranty through Walmart if you get it though - I think it's like 40 bucks for 3 years.

Would be nice if Walmart mentioned what warranty, if any, comes with their refurbished products.

The warranty is there when you add the item to cart or checkout. Either you check it and add it on to your purchase or you don't. I have a refurb E47 that just had LED or backlight failure after 3 years. Luckily my set is covered to Jan 2017. I was hoping for a purchase price $329 payout but they fixed it and sent the set back to me. Get that warranty just in case guys. The warranty covers everything except accidental.

Slickdeals is my Google. Smilie Did you need to send the TV for repair or could you bring it to a store? I didn't get a warranty for the last refurb TV because I thought the cost of shipping it back would offset the value of the TV. (It was about $300 too).

Welcome to the Walmart refurbished lottery.

Many will play, few will win.

If you have a real credit card with a high limit, order a few to the store so you can inspect there - and even take a couple home because after you power it on, you may find problems afterwards.

Note you do not have to buy the warranty right away, you have 30 days.

Squaretrade will not warranty walmart reburbs, you need the walmart warranty.

I agree, $47 for 3 years protection is a no brainer for a tv like this.

Got the 48" WePowerShop deal last year (E48-C2, not refurbished), and mine is going strong. The wifi isn't as strong as my laptop wifi for streaming, but I use an ethernet cable so it works great.
