Javascript from googleadservices.com is now required

Something just changed that requires I allow javascript from googleadservices.com to be run on my pc in order to see the pictures on the front page. Is this a necessary change? I really like to block all JS from ad websites.

likely done to strongarm into more ad revenue.

i browse on a work computer often and cannot risk malware from JS.

we'll see if we get an official response.

This is now fixed. This isn't a new pixel, we were trying to move it to the background to help speed up some other aspects of the site but it conflicted with some ad blockers.
