They both pretty match have the same flash controller, just a year newer revision on the mushkin. I would imagine performance is very similar. I would just get whatever is cheaper probably.

Adata 240gb is a similar price as well:

I think it uses the same contoller as the mushkin.

A TLC with faster speeds or a MLC with slightly slower speeds?

Anyone looking to buy that WD external drive in order to gut it, not worth it. There is a Blue drive in there, you're better off with the Toshiba internal.

Any comments on the CS1211 vs the newer CS1311? I see the CS1311 is only $5 more so was thinking it may be the better deal.

does the 240 GB Mushkin Enhanced ECO3 2.5" SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (MKNSSDE3240GB) has connection kit to use on desktop? Do I need anything to connect on desktop.

most newer cases alow for a 2.5" drive to be mounted somewhere. the power and data connections are identical to a standard desktop drive.

thing is most PC owners keep old equipment and may upgrade everything else BUT the case.. in that case you may need a rail kit

most likely if your paying top $$ on ssd you shouldn't cheap out on mounting.. except as a temporary measure..

is that for vanity reasons? I doubt the ssd would care much how is mounted. I have one mounted using a loop of Velcro. most of my other adds are just hanging freely unmounted.

you say this guy is buying this for some ancient PC, but that he should spend another $10 on a bent piece of steel with some holes in it.

If you aren't worried about appearance, double sided mounting tape would work just fine. Ignore this guy that is only here to contradict people...
