All the top reviews are "vine free products". Blech. Looks like a good machine, but who knows with shill reviews.

Yea, but I don't think there is another super automatic at this price anywhere. I wish there was a better deal on a Miele or Jura. Been trying coupon codes everywhere but nothing seems to work.

Had a espresso in a small restaurant in London, very strong, very different. Wondering if this machine can make it.

DeLonghi is a trusted brand and this model (ECAM22110B) is very similar to its more-commonly reviewed, top-rated (for its price point) sister ECAM22110SB (I think the only difference is the color actually, 'S' for silver), so you really shouldn't have to worry about that.

That is very true, you can't beat DeLonghi super automatics for budgets under $1k. This would still be a great deal at $600 or even $700.

TBH this needs to go FP :o

Have been using the older model for almost 2 years... The best $500 - $600 you can spend if you like coffee...

Not the top machine at this price point for fully automated espresso machine but you will always enjoy yor espresso or coffe when you take your first sip

At this price; much better build and qualitu compared to refurbished other low end of good brands...

We had this model for over 2 years now. One of the best purchase ever.
Wake up, press a button, and your caffeine is ready!

As others mentioned, espresso strength is no where near that of coffee shops, but who cares? Just press the button one more time.

espresso strength, I care. If no much difference, I will stay with my K-cup.

I have a DeLonghi ESAM5500 and---knock wood---it hasn't given me any trouble in the 4-5 years I've owned it. The espresso is not quite as good as that which I can make from my Rancilio Silvia (semi-auto machine), but it's pretty good. Plus, no prep or cleanup (making espresso is a messy process, even when done right).

I WOULD let this machine warm up for a bit as some people complain about DeLonghis not getting hot enough and therefore underextract the puck. I too have witnessed this, but I gave it about 20 minutes to heat up, and I also ran some hot water through it---problem solved.

Also, DO NOT feed this machine oily beans. If you like your espresso made from really oily beans, you probably do not want to buy a superauto. I learned this the hard way when running some really shiny French Roast through mine---it clogged and I thought I'd damaged my expensive superauto. But nope, I just switched to a less oily bean. I had to clean all that muck out of the machine first, though.

Superautos have a lot of moving parts, and they DO have a reputation of breaking down and require expensive repairs. I would strongly recommend getting the 3-year protection plan on this machine.
