Ok, I've been on the hunt for a receiver for the past 3 weeks, and this seems like a great deal. $299.95 after MIR fits my budget.

Seems like a good price for solid budget receiver. I paid $240 for a similar 5.2 pioneer receiver recently, if not I'd probably buy this. TU

Yes, you can.

just be careful. if they are 4 ohm they will draw twice as much power as what they are rated at.

That is a really good price for this. $359 is lowest it got to on Amazon back in April, and now all you can do is buy it 3rd party for that price used. Was mostly on sale for $499 for the past year.

I am planning on setting up a 7.2 in my Media Room this Dec 2016(Move in date). Do you think I should buy this or wait for better deals down the line before Dec 2016? What is the average price in total to be spent on setting up a 7.2 in a Media Room for a bit better than average experience? Thanks in advance

HDCP 2.2 is making its way onto more receivers this year, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Wait for deals on the next gen lineup if you can.

As for me, I'm waiting for the RX-V679 to drop to this price. Need that 4:4:4 Chroma for my computer, which this receiver doesn't have.

I think the acoustimass speakers need to be used with the bose reciever/equalizer they come with or they sound weird. At least that is how my bose 901s work. I know the 601s and the 301s and the 141s can use any amp, but I thought the acoustimass required the bose reciever.

Works pretty well we have a similar yamaha receiver. The yamaha app you can use to control the speaker DSP works really well too,
