i used to have a nest...moved and bought 2 of these for my new place. is it just me or is the app super buggy and slow. every time I open the app I have to wait while it connects to my thermostat...15 seconds. swiping changes hesitates a second. my remote sensors are 20 feet away and constantly losing and regaining connection. they also are slow or unresponsive to movement.

the rooms that I want remote sensors in are further away, so doubt that's an option.

all in all, just not as satisfied as the nest, though the hold temp functions are better than nest (nest lacked any temp hold function annoying when you want to override your schedule).

plus I can't just set a temp on a schedule....you need a profile for that temp.

I know slickdeals loves these, they aren't bad, I just don't think they are that much better than nest, which is the consensus here.

Great gadget. I have 2 from the last time this went on sale on eBay.

It's controllable with the Logitech Harmony remote that was recently on here.

You can adjust it with your phone from anywhere with the app or online.

Yea I really have no issues with my nest as long as you go into it with expectations. It's a convenient thermostat that had a nice digital display

I find the learning feature in nest not very useful, in fact it screws up my schedule, so I turned it off and just use a schedule.

anyone ever use an ecobee with a lennox variable speed heater / AC units? I don't think these smart thermostats control the variable fans well, but not sure, as last time i did research was a few years ago. The lennox thermostat is just a pretty programmable one, and I don't think it's near as nice as these smart ones.

I use the honeywell thermostat which has an app/wifi, etc with my variable speed lennox and it works fine, so i doubt this one would have a problem..

And 20% coupon harbor freight brings it down to $160. Not bad.
