i love this speaker - it is huge so if you are trying to fit it in any kind of media center make sure you check dimensions.

Great First Deal Post!!!!!

These kinda disappeared after Crutchfield had them new for $149.99 a few months back.....couldn't find them anywhere......

So Excited!!!!!!!!!!! Have had the P163 sitting on my entertainment center(as the center channel) and the wife hates it......(even though it was 1/4 of the cost of the PC351 - $50 vs $200)......

this baby will make everyone happy!

Good price. I'd bite, but I already have a p163 as a center and it works great. I read that the p163 is a better center than the pc351 anyway.

I don't think its worth spending $100 to find out. If it ain't broke...

Nice deal OP. Lowest I've seen on a PC351 shipped. It is a huge speaker, shipping itself would some $$$s. Direct from Harman, so you can be sure that it is good. Anyone know what the warranty is on this. I am on the fence - currently using a P163 as center. Trying to decided if the cool look is worth the extra $99.

+1 this.

The PC351 is a very nice center speaker design, but it is still supposedly inferior to the simple P163. The vertical alignment of the tweeter-woofer is superior to the horizontal design. The multiple woofers in the horizontal center speaker is to compensate for this and to try to replicate the vertical design as closely as possible. If you can get away with having an odd looking bookshelf speaker under the TV, the P163 does the job better. Some say you can lay it on the side, but then the same horizontal vs vertical issues crop up. It MUST be in the vertical orientation for it to give the best output.

One big plus in favor of the PC351 is the "look" - it looks very nice under the TV, while the P163 sticks out like a sore thumb Stick Out Tongue My wife hated it, but I managed to camouflage it behind an acoustically transparent black screen and it is near invisible now. You won't notice there is a speaker there unless I point it out.

I recently bought a P363 tower and I am gonna experiment using it as the center channel. That way all my fronts (L-C-R) would be the same. Supposed to give the best sound stage when all speakers (including surrounds and rears) are the same, but I'd satisfied with the front three being matched. Plan to use P163s for surrounds and P153s for rears (got the speakers a while back but too lazy to run the wires and hook them up).

EDIT: Just gonna leave this link in case anyone is interested - Using identical LCR vs dedicated center channel [avsforum.com]

PC351 dimesnsions
H x W x D: 7-3/8" x 23-7/8" x 9-1/4" (187mm x 606mm x 235mm)

About 2 feet wide, a foot deep and half a foot tall, if it helps you visualize. Not as huge as a tower speaker, but pretty big for a center.

I don't know about CSi5, but Crutchfield gives the size as 24"W x 7-13/16"H x 14-7/16"D, so same width and height as the PC351, but much deeper. So the Polk is bigger overall.

Anyone got theirs yet? If so, does it look like new or does it have signs of use?
