Lots of Makita batteries here so will add this to my collect for $20+tax. Picked up at Home Depot to use one of my Home Depot cards -- same price.

Just had a 34 hour power outage and could have used an extra USB charger. In for 1!

Already made, I'm fairly certain the heated jackets also use this same component as the interface between battery + jacket.

farking a... I had no ideal.. Way too expensive, but I am going to look for a deal on one. I have several of those batteries & one of the 12v 4 amp ones on the way so that would keep me charged for weeks if I needed.

Very interesting! I was wondering what else I can do with my Dremel 12v Batteries (not 100% compatible fit but it is close) and this didn't even occur to me. Although, i would never pay this much, it costs 3x what it is worth easily. 1A Max is very old tech.

Good idea though, i may make my own adapter out of a car charger. Bosch's and Dremel's 12v is easier to work with.

BTW, Ryobi has something along these lines too, it's a USB port with a radio attached (haha).

I actually own this and I would rate it 3/5 because it gets very poor reception but very good features.

As for the OP. Good find. $20 is a worth the price if you consider that it's adapted from a common battery interface AND it has 2x 2A outputs. your 2AH battery is probably close to a 7200 mAh USB battery . 2000mAh @ 18v = 7200mAh @ 5v.
