Thanks, I was excited for a second thinking the brushless kit was 20% off. Oh well.

I have always been impressed with the quality and performance of dewalt tools, and while I didn't expect this to be a great drill, I thought it would at least work well.

What's the main advantage of brushless? Are these that much worse? I'm just using it for general home stuff but need an impact. Te driver is a nice bonus since my old dewalt is not lion

For $40 more. I will prefer brushless. What's the battery size in brushless version?

for $100+ less I prefer the 18v Bosch impact and driver!

Brushless tools are often smaller due to their advanced electronics yielding a better size to power ratio and they are slighlty more efficient so your batteries will last a little longer. You also won't wear out brushes, but most home users don't use a tool enough to do so. But with all of those fancy electronics, there is more to go wrong and the holes you drill or screws you drive will not know the difference. Brushless are the new thing, but the tried and true brushed motors work well and have worked well for decades.
