Heck of a gun for this price.

The Taurus Millennium G2 is the ideal concealed carry handgun and features a Picatinny rail, high-profile sights, a textured grip, and melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment. This model also features a loaded chamber indicator and the Taurus Security System (TSS), which can be engaged with a key to prevent operation of the manual safety and the trigger.

PLEASE NOTE: Whittaker's website says it's DAO, and unless something has seriously changed, it's SA/DA (single action on first trigger pull, DA for "second strike"). I own 2 PT-111 G2's, and Taurus' website doesn't list it as DAO either.

Corrected with SA/DA info even though Whittaker's site shows it as DAO.

Is that a good thing? I don't know much about guns.
Also my ffl charges $50, i called 3 and that are all the same price. Would this still be a good deal or should I wait to find one locally w/o the ffl fee?

Ouch... Around here, it's $15-20 in ffl fees. So, for me, it's cheaper to buy it for $200 shipped and pay the ffl fee than it is to buy it locally for $210 and pay sales tax. Ymmv, obviously. But even if you can find a local dealer to sell it for $230, once you add sales tax the ffl fee is less. Personally, I'd tell all of them to foad.

It has a short reset, but to fire, it almost touches the back of the trigger guard. Crisp enough for me, and at $200, upgrades defeat the purpose.

This is the perfect cheap little daily carry gun, and from the reviews I've read it shoots and handles well too! I literally just ordered one earlier today for $209 delivered. And luckily I live in Arizona where FFL's are a dime-a-dozen, if you shop around a little you'll never pay more than $15 for an FFL transfer (which is less than what the sales tax would be on any gun purchased locally for $180 or more). I even found a guy that will do as many lower receivers as you want at a time for a flat $20.

Check around at some local pawn shops. Their FFL fees are usually lower than gun dealers.

These are great handguns and have excellent reviews. I purchased two of them in December when there was a $50 rebate on them. I've put about 800 rounds through the pair, with no jams or any other issues. I use one of them and an Alien Gear holster for daily concealed carry.

My G2 continues to be as reliable as ever, I'm tempted to get another while the getting is good. TU and repped for a good gun deal!

i bought the G2 as a plinker basically, and something to give to friends who come to the range so i don't have to let them borrow my Rugers. what's funny, is that i find myself using it a lot as well b/c it's a hoot to shoot. not a fan of the overly-aggressive stipple on the grip but i have a hogue jr to help with that. i have yet to have a single FTE with it, even when using the infamous WWB. fires tul, freedom, american eagle, Speer, and blazer aluminum. hell it chews through everything. it's as reliable as my old Ruger P95 which is my work horse full size 9mm that can fire anything in any condition (no, it cannot fire underwater like a Glock lol)

despite being a compact gun, this gun is actually ideal for a new shooter. the slide is very easy to rack, the recoil despite being a smaller gun is very very manageable, and the size is perfect for many who aren't able to handle a full size gun comfortably.

CTD used to sell these mags for just $24.32 + $4.97 shipping up to 7 mags. now that the G2 is so popular, they jacked the prices up (go figure). the cheapest i've been able to find them is from Academy Sports. last i checked i think it was $27.92 per mag, free shipping if you add a bunch of mags and reach the free shipping minimum requirement

Taurus restored their reputation for semi-autos with the G2. they really went above and beyond with this handgun and at the $200 price point, it's a steal. don't expect the G3 to be this cheap

Thank you for the Hogue Jr comment. I had no idea they fit the G2, and had wrapped a piece of black sports bandage around the handle of mine for concealed carry under a T-shirt during the summer. I just found the Hogue Jr on Amazon, and ordered two of them.

By the way, if anyone else is interested, they are currently $6.63 as a Prime add-on item at Amazon (normally $10.39).

i should clarify - it's the hogue handal jr (make sure you get that one). it does fit...but again due to that overly aggressive stipple it's VERY difficult lol. i used some baby powder to help with the installation. stick with soap water or baby powder when trying to slide it on. don't use any petro-based lubricants (for obvious reasons lol)

without the grip, after shooting a box my fingers really felt like someone had repeatedly rubbed sand paper on them. the stipple is way too overly aggressive IMO. none of my other handguns have stipples like this
