If it were DDR4, but alas the the DDR3 ruins it.

was browsing for info to see how upgrading this was (putting in better PSU and GPU)

seems the case is too small and uses a proprietary PSU

http://en.community.dell.com/supp...t/19657974

the only way a poster in that thread changed to a regular sized PSU, he had to install the PSU outside of the case lol
http://en.community.dell.com/resi...Dell-1.jpg

so yea cant really upgrade the PSU

and theres only 2 DIMM slots, so you are stuck with 2x8 GB ram (unless DDR4 works for this , then possibly 2x16 GB DDR4?)

Not really a deal breaker because there is zero performance difference in real life between DDR4 and DDR3. Only benefit of DDR4 as of now is having 16GB single module, enables you to add huge amount of Ram. But 16GB DDR3 Ram is enough for even the most demanding applications which a normal person generally run.
And I also agree that this is not really a gaming PC but it is pretty good for works like Audio & Video Editing, encoding and running CPU intensive workloads. R9 360 GDDR5 will also let you play most of the games at 1080P resolution with low-mid settings. Also I think you can easily go for a GT 950 as 950 has lower power consumption.

Thanks for the post, picked one up for my parents. Used a particular rebate site that has 10% back, used my Dell account to get two day free shipping, shipped it to an address in Delaware so it was tax free and another 1% from a credit card cash back.

If you are not planning to do some serious upgrade and planning to convert it a high end Gaming rig, this is pretty good deal, specially with the updated price of $579.

So i messaged customer service and tried to get a price protection, wasn't able to get the whole $50 off since there is a coupon, but they offered $35 back when the item arrives. Reason for just not cancelling and reordering is that I had 10% cash back, so it ended up around the same amount anyways, but with the refund, it makes it even better.

Would you mind sharing where the 10% cash back coupon is available?
