I'm a little wary about getting a refurbished LG G4 without knowing when it was made or who refurbished it. There has been a pretty common issue of early production units of this phone suddenly bootloop. Once the bootloops, it's a goner since it's hardware issue.

Don't know which one is better the G4 or Moto Turbo or Max? Also, if you get the Brown Leather G4, can you still put a case on it?

Thanks!!

G4 is probably best among the phones youve listed.

and there are certainly cases that fit the leather versions of the G4. Just gotta look for em to make sure the case is designed for leather backs as well. They usually say it in the listing.

You just need to make sure the G4 you get is one that has the bootloop repaired or one manufactured after September 2015.

Yep. Just happened to my father-in-law's 8 month old G4 we got from the Verizon deal back in October. Verizon sent us a refurb to replace it... I would stay away.

G3 with Fulmics latest ROM is what I've been running, and it's EXTREMELY solid. No performance issues aside from super resource intensive games. Chrome, bloated as it is, runs like a dream.

bootloop happens when a hardware connection fails, nothing you can do software wise to avoid it. however, generally the devices that do bootloop have serial numbers starting with 505 and sometimes 506.

LG's warranty lasts about a year and a half and the phone was released about a year ago so theres that.

is the g4 worth the jump from the g3? the specs look a little better, but not by much.

i never had a g3, but i can say g4 is the best phone i've ever owned. i came from a htc m8 which is same gen as g3 and the experience is not even remotely close how much better the g4 is. at this price point you really cant go wrong.

Buyer beware, the LG g4 i have new from T-Mobile (build date was 03-2016) has horrible GPS accuracy (often 300ft), and spotty bluetooth. LG has kind of made the OS very annoying to use. If you're coming from a Nexus device, you're going to hate that you can't open up a notification from the lock screen with double tap. You can't customize the volume double tab short cuts.

The camera is not any faster to focus than my Nexus 5. The camera is basically just too slow to capture the random day to day moments of my infant's life. I

If you're a tinkerer, you'll be bummed that there is no official CM13 release yet, just nightlies posted on XDA.

This is a phone I would not recommend to anyone who enjoys a pure android experience. I wish I never purchased it. I wouldn't purchase it for $200.

edit: and the Wi-Fi connectivity is horrible. It makes Wi-Fi assisted calling useless.
