Thank you! I have been looking for a new laptop for our office and they really wanted a dock. This and a SSD seems cheaper then all those nice Dell deals from the past week.

I just wish it said if there was 1x4gb stick or 2x2gb sticks. hopefully it's 1x4gb and I can just stick a spare stick in the open slot.

I feel like the specs are not correct because it also says it doesn't have a webcam.

I really hope that is true. There really is no room for error when purchasing an ultra book

It's a pretty good price but it is two generations back. The 4 cell battery is almost a must and my guess is 2-4 hours of battery life where the next two generations improved on the battery life a LOT. But I would prefer this over any other $400 laptop I know of.

I really wish we knew if the 64GB was msata or 2.5. The 7440 has both an MSATA slot and a 2.5 slot and there are just two screws under the battery to remove the back panel to have access to drives and memory. If the 64GB is MSATA, you can put it in the MSATA slot and add either another SSD or a regular 2.5 for storage. 64GB is small for an OS drive no matter what even if you have extra storage. You'll always be fighting it if you actually put stuff on the computer.

Some of the info is weird because it says both anti-glare and touch. The 7440 that are touch are not anti-glare but edge to edge glass. So I think these are glossy. And then since the picture is wrong (because it's not the edge to edge glass), it very well may not have the webcam! I've never seen it without mic and I'm not positive that the touch comes in a no webcam version, but I wouldn't' expect a webcam!
These are great with the Dell E series dock! It's really cool to be able to port it at home or the office and use a big monitor with it.

I've had a lot of these with clients. They're decently light and thin, have a good amount of power, yet are still sturdy and tough.

Eh for $100 more (25%) you could get a current-gen laptop with 8gb RAM these days. And that 64 GB SSD means many will be be paying to replace the storage drive anyway. Is it really worth it to buy this old stock at this price? I'd say it should cost less to be compelling.

Yeah, but then you're buying plastic crap. This is a metal frame business class laptop. It's a good price for what it is.

I'm being serious when I ask this...what?

And to be specific, a 13-14" high quality touchscreen under 4lbs, a minimum i5 processor (for windows) with SSD in the $400 range. This seems better than some loaded Chromebook 'deals' that have showed up recently. The only thing keeping me from buying(for now) is I want a 2-in-1 flip-style, but this is tempting.

This seems appealing at first glance, and could be a great deal for the right person/use, but there are some expenses coming up if you buy this.

The first glaring thing is the 64gb toy ssd. OK, we all know some chrome books are jokes with their 32gb of storage, but 64gb for windows? The OS is going to eat half that space just to turn it on, and you're going to start with only about 59gb'ish anyway... Instant replacement IMO.

The processor is OK, but surprisingly it has less than 10% improvement over my old 2nd gen i5. It's certainly serviceable though.

Memory needs an immediate upgrade too

Bluetooth would be nice, so that's another upgrade. The AC thing may bother some people, but I could live with the wifi they have now.

I'd say you have to figure - at least - another $200 on top of this price to make it usable. That's not bad for a Win10 pro machine, but....

Only deal breaker is webcam. If it does have a webcam and if has the original Dell 3 year Latitiude warranty it's a good deal.
