with the move towards streaming 4K is a little moot. Most people lack the connectivity to stream 4k and the 4k streaming out there is low bitrate. Unless you are a Blueray fanatic 4K is a bit of waste. In a year or two when DOCSIS 3.1 is out 4K live TV and internet streaming will start to pickup. That being said many TV stations still broadcast in 720 and 4K capable video game consoles are most likely a generation or two off, which means the tech is cool but not overly useful.

In short 4K is not 3D but it's adoption rate is low and content for it is not being mass generated right now

Can someone tell me why the delta between UHD and HD is not that big. Recently a 50" Samsung 4K 3D tv was on sale for $750 at BB.

IMO this is the best 1080p TV you can get, that isn't OLED. Great build quality and design.
I had the 55" version, but returned it for a 4K 65" X810C - Only because the 55" was a bit too small in my living room.

I want this for my bed room but boy I sure don't need it.

Stay away from sony tvs. My 850c has awesome picture quality however 2 crappy bugs; it turns itself on whenever it decides (mostly during night) and needs a full reboot for the wifi to work again. Also please note sony 2-3 fw upgrades and then you are on your own..

Wow this is fast to FP w/o many votes or comments.

LED 1080p and 3D are obsolete, especially when the Sharp 4k at Dell is same price.

It a chart or similar one to this that led me away for buying a 60 inches 4k tv. I sit between 12 to 15 feet away from the tv and 4k would do nothing for me at that soze.

I have the Sony 700 series 50" bought it a year ago for $600 on sale from bestbuy.
It looks the same as the 800 series but without the 3D.
I bought it so I can attach it to my PC and play videogames lag free. Love it!.
