First post, searched but didn't see this. I guess I am supposed to say go easy on me (everyone seems to in their first post Smilie ).

Fry's Electronics currently has Asus Radeon R9 390X STRIX 8GB [frys.com] for $219.99 AR with Promocode.

Website:
$339.99 - $20 (rebate [frys.com]) - $100 (promo code) = $219.99

Promo email has it listed as $299.99, but I verified the above price on the site.

Email says online and in store, but site only allows in store. Limit 2 per person. Email promo code good thru 6/11.

Has 4.5 stars but only 28 reviews on Amazon.

I know this is the beginning of the drops as the next gen cards come out, but this still feels like a good deal right now. Other retailers listing this well over $400 still.

If you don't have a promo code, subscribe here: http://www.frys.com/workflow/Acct...m/subc.jsp
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Why would you post something vague when you can be more vague?
Why would you buy this for 219 when in 17 days for 199 you can buy a card that will out perform this for 199.99?
the rx480 will not outperform the 390x, it will however come close to a 390. This 390x is an awesome deal at 219.99 if that is the actual price. if you are trying to persuade people from getting this and waiting you are better off giving them reasons such as much less power consumption(which will mean less heat), and newer architecture and what not.

Nice deal, if I had an extra 200 bucks I'd go for it, but I'm saving up for a HTC Vive Smilie

most bad reviews are related to crashes, which are more than likely with crap power supply. You need at least a high quality 650watt or ok quality 800watt.

Either that or bad cooling. This thing is a heat generator. Temp of your room will go up at least 5 degrees while gaming

220 for a 390x is a fantastic deal. Also I already have the strix r9 fury and it is a great card. Can't imagine this one being worse.

By the way, Nice first post OP!

This card is showing up as $299.99 on the email deal, not $219.99. Might be an ad mistake? It DOES show up as $339 only on the website, not $419 as it says on the advertisement/email. The code supposedly takes $100 off.

Why do you say 17 days? Are you talking about the R480X?
