Why buy Mac when you can build a beast of pc for 1000 bucks. I don't understand why people pay so much money for this.

Thats kind of a stupid statement.

For starters it does have a 5K IPS screen with DCI P3 Color Space. You cannot get anything like this anywhere else for less than $1500. People and professionals who need a very high quality screen would certainly spend the money on this considering it is one of kind.

Considering that similar size 4K (NOT 5k) DCI P3 monitors go for $1000-$1500 I think this is a great deal.

Earlier today bestbuy had these for $1000 refurbished which IMHO is not a bad deal at all considering the specs and screen and the fact that it is a mac.

Youll also get 5% back in rewards if you use a bestbuy credit card.

You can still upgrade the RAM on 27 inch models, up to 64 GB (unofficially, 32 gb officially).

Thats the only thing that needs to be upgraded on these, 8gb is a bit low for these. 16 gb would be the sweet spot.

adding another 8gb would be very cheap, just two more 4gb modules is all youd need.

You'd have to be a dipshit to buy a dell 5k monitor when you can buy an entire iMac for that price.

Hmm, I do have that college coupon but the upgrade to these specs isn't a huge jump but the price is nice...

Whats the problem? There is an access door to easily upgrade it. 4 slots, and only 2 are populated.
