This is indeed a great deal. I have this monitor and it is amazing. The jump from 16:9 (or 16:10) to 21:9 is akin to the jump from 4:3 to 16:9/10 for immersive experiences like gaming and cinematic formatted movies.

As for curved vs non-curved, really the only time it makes much of a difference is when you are looking at the far corners of the screen. More of an issue for office apps, less of an issue for gaming and cinematic movies, not much difference at all for 16:9 video which will have black borders on the far edges anyhow.

For this vs 4k, I would opt for 4k for work applications and 21:9 for movies and gaming. For games, you basically get a wider FOV (or viewable area) without actually adjusting the FOV.
Nice price for this model. Shame it doesn't have a curve. These 34 inchers are definitely a strong case for the need for a curve.

Right next to it. 42:9 aspect ratio... I can't even imagine.

larger screens are better for productivity, not higher resolution...

this is an AMAZING deal. 21:9 monitors need to be at $500, or else people will just go for VR instead.

I'm worried about exchanges for dead pixels. reading their policy, we have to pay for shipping.

Easy returns and some of us have gift cards laying around.

"Items from the following categories may not be returned:

TVs and monitors 20" and higher (any warranty claim must be taken up with the manufacturer directly)."

The lousy return policy is a deal killer. Please post if you successfully price match to BB or Amazon. I'll probably buy the HP 32" out later this month for $150 less. I've called HP and BB will carry it when available.
