The last Dell rebate requires the billing address to match the rebate address.
I did it last time matching the shipping address.

So i guess i'm done with any slickdeals rebates for the future.

the rebates team may be able to assist if you email them at rebates@slickdeals.net

per this article this is the suggested email format:

Quote :
If you want to email us with questions about a rebate, please make sure you enter the following into the subject line:
Subject: Problem with Rebate for SKD-##### (offer ID)

Example: Problem with Dell Rebate for SKD-10031

For the body of the email, please include a short description of your problem along with your rebate tracking number so we can forward this over to our rebate processor. All rebate inquiries should be sent to rebates@slickdeals.net.

The rebate specifically says the rebate address has to match billing. In my case it doesn't so its just super tight restrictions that make these suck.

Requiring that a rebate match the billing address is not "super tight" restrictions, it's industry standard.

The billing address/name is the person who is actually buying the item. You could have bought it as a gift and had it shipped somewhere else to a different person, but the billing address would be who the rebate processing center will recognize as the "owner" for the rebate incentive.

Slickdeals can push it through with an escalation, but that is a courtesy to you. Both the rebate instruction form AND online rebate registration form clearly state that the Invoice's billing address must match the name/address you are claiming the rebate under. In the future, you might want to change your credit card billing info to your shipping address, if only temporarily to buy Item X, so that the rebate process is easier and you don't get frustrated. Either that, or get a prepaid card like AMEX BlueBird or Serve where you can set the billing address to whatever you like and then go and load enough money to the card to cover that specific online purchase.

Hope that helps. Good luck! Smilie

Is there some reason you can't receive mail at your billing address?

I have reasons but not a bypass restriction reason per say.

The matching address has become industry standard i guess. Wasn't always the case because this is the first i've seen it really enforce or looked at. Either way I won't be bothering with them for the future.
