Best inexpensive DLNA streaming stick?

BerMM 33 52 June 10, 2016 at 01:03 PM
Pretty simple. I have a growing movie collection on my Windows Media Center and I'm looking for an inexpensive way to share it with my other (dumb) TVs via DLNA or similar. Will Fire TV, Roku, etc do it? Other suggestions?

those will all do what you need. may want to look for one that directly supports the streaming server.... ie: plex..... some of the Chinese tv boxes will support up to 4k video and cost around 50 bucks

Thanks. Further poking around reveals that I'm probably stuck until one of the media servers enables VCE for transcoding. Others have had success with Plex and the Athlon 5350, but I'm afraid it won't leave enough CPU cycles for Windows Media Center. I may just give it a try anyways, especially since I discovered that my lowly Chromecast has a Plex client.
