Newegg [newegg.com] has Netgear Arlo Q - 1080p HD Wi-Fi Security Camera with 2 Way Audio & 7 Days of FREE Cloud Recordings (VMC3040-100NAS) for $169.99 w/ promo code EMCEKFF33.
Free shipping.

One of (if not) the best and most cost-effective IP cameras you can get for under $200 (if it goes on sale, that is; lowest price ever on Amazon was $200, and currently goes for $220 at most major retailers). Yes, the Nest Cam recently went on sale for $150, but unlike the Nest Cam, no subscription is required for 7 days' worth of recordings stored to the cloud.

If you need a completely wireless product (including power supply) though, take a look at the original Arlo camera instead.

Arlo is for outdoors and pretty awesome. Pair with Eagletec Rcr123a rechargeable batteries and Nitecore I4 charger... And you you never have to worry about batteries again and have an awesome system with free cloud storage...

I said pair with arlo system... Not this arlo q... This arlo q compliments the Arlo system for great indoor monitoring...

Really wish Blink would have a few more features/products. I am watching to see what way to go with these cams. I have 2 Amcrest cams I got off of Amazon Warehouse deals in the winter... they are good quality, but the software is a disgrace.

Arlo website states, "Arlo Wire-Free cameras are weatherproof and can be used indoors or outdoors. Arlo Q and Arlo Q Plus cameras are designed for indoor use only…"

A friend called me today asking for help, because he thinks someone might be trying to break into his house. But the problem is that I dont know much about cameras too. He would like something with 4 cameras and mobile viewing. I seen this is a pretty nice camera but is there any other route to go? I have seen systems with way more cameras for much less. The price difference are only because of wireless or is there something else? He linked me this system:

I know he would have to run some wires with this one.. but is that all? I believe you can also see these from you phone.
Again, I dont know anything aout cameras... I just would like some input in what to look for.

Thanks.

My 2 cents: I have a 3 Arlo cam setup (now 4...thanks OP) and a 4 cam PoE Hikvision setup with a Hikvision DVR and the iOS iVMS-4500 mobile app for Live View and recording playback. Anyone can set up an Arlo system. A dedicated PoE cam setup with DVR and mobile viewing is not plug and play. You may need to run ethernet and you will need to understand port forwarding and other advanced router settings. That said, the PoE cams are the real deal with serious event configuration settings like dynamic motion analysis (won't trigger with trees blowing), intrusion detection, line crossing detection, etc. Some may disagree but the Arlo system is not in the same league. However, the ease of use and flexibility of cam placement is where Arlo shines. And for those that are interested, you (will void your warranty but you) can simply power the traditional Arlos with the hidden USB input in the battery compartment. This works best for indoor use since the battery door needs to stay open or you need to drill a hole.

Other camera systems could be better however setting them requires time , patience, and know how

I installed two this past week and like them a lot. Batteries last only so long so it's one of the cons. However like someone mentioned rechargeable one are the way to go for the outdoor Arlo cameras. This one is not powered by batteries and for indoor use.

Is this all you need for an indoor security camera? We are looking for one.
Will we need cables etc?

just wifi. All you need is to plug it in with the included power adapter. So yes, this is all you need to get started. but just one camera.
